Choose exactly the gift your friend needs
Specify whether you need full Nitro or Basic enough, and how long you want to pay. See the actual feature comparison, not just the title in the ad. The monthly and annual gift can also be combined differently with the current plan.
If an offer is named as a trial, promotional activation, or "new only" code, check the criteria separately. The low price of such a code does not make it a full replacement for a gift for a person who has already used Nitro.

How to buy and transfer a link
In Discord itself, gifts are available through the Nitro interface and supported gift menus. This is a donor's purchase, so their payment method is theirs and not their friend's account. To order in Unlimit, select an option, deadline and your email; After processing, a code or link is sent to your email.
Give the gift only to the right person in a familiar personal dialogue. Do not post the full code in a public channel, order screenshot, or public postcard. If you want to give it later, check the shelf life and storage conditions of the specific offer.

What the recipient must do
It's best to accept gifts in the browser or desktop version of Discord, where you can check your account and subscription information. If you have multiple profiles open on your device, first make sure the correct one is selected.
Check the link and source of the message; For a regular gift link, check the domain discord.gift.
Login to your account only on the official Discord page.
Open the gift and check the plan and deadline.
Confirm receipt, then open subscription settings.
View result: active Nitro or available Account Credit.
For a code of a different format, follow the official instructions for redeeming it. Don't turn an arbitrary string into a gift link or enter a password on a site that only looks like Discord.

If Nitro has already been paid for
Discord can save gifts as Account Credit. Such credit applies to the applicable plan and period; it is not a cash wallet for any purchases. It is especially important to check the combination of Nitro and Basic, month and year.
Subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play have separate rules: Gift Credit will not be used as payment for these subscriptions. When you sign up for an eligible subscription in your browser, Discord may request payment information. Therefore, the phrase “link instead of card” describes the gift, and does not promise that the recipient will never need the card.

What to do if the link does not work
The "already used" message and subscription incompatibility require different actions. In the first case, check whether the gift was accepted earlier or sent to the general chat. In the second, look at the subscriptions and credit section. Do not buy another link until you find out the status of the first one.
If a gift purchased directly from Discord has not yet been accepted, the sender can manage the link in Gift Inventory. For a third-party order, please contact the seller with the order number and error text. Requesting a token, QR login or backup code under the guise of help is a reason to stop data transfer.
