Compare plans by task, not title
A user who only wants to use their favorite emoji across different servers does not need to purchase the maximum plan. Nitro Basic already includes custom emoji and stickers, Super Reactions, a follower badge, a custom app icon, and video backgrounds.
Full Nitro adds features that are noticeable when actively working with content and communities: larger investments, improved streaming, an expanded profile, more servers and two Server Boosts.

When Nitro Basic is Enough
Basic makes sense for daily communication if the main reason for subscribing is emojis, stickers and reactions. The 50 MB limit is enough for images, documents and short videos that do not fit into the free limit.
Another good scenario is a trial month. It shows whether you are taking advantage of the benefits regularly before choosing a longer period.
You hardly ever screencast.
Do not send videos and archives larger than 50 MB.
You do not plan to strengthen the servers.
Profile design is not the main reason for purchasing.

When full Nitro is justified
The full plan is revealed to authors, moderators and active community members. Files up to 500 MB are useful for sources, long videos and builds, while HD streaming is useful for cooperative gaming, training and demos.
The two Server Boosts enabled are only valuable if you actually intended to maintain the server. Don't automatically count them as a discount: check first to see if you need the server level benefits.

Month or year
Monthly subscription reduces the risk of making the wrong choice. An annual period is logical when you have already used the plan, know the functions you need and are ready to pay for the entire term in advance.
Check how your subscription will be renewed and through which device you will need to change or cancel it. Discord specifies that the plan must be managed through the same type of device where the purchase was made.

What to check before purchasing a code
Make sure that the product card indicates exactly Nitro or Nitro Basic, as well as the correct period. Email is needed to deliver the code; No Discord password is required to purchase a digital code.
Once received, activate the code only in the official Discord. Do not post code in a server channel: the one-time value can be taken by the first person to use it.
