What restrictions to consider
The balance cannot be used to send gifts or gift cards to other people. Some recurring payments, including select AppleCare+ plans, require a valid bank payment method.
Even if you have a sufficient balance, Apple sometimes asks you to leave your card in your account to confirm your payment method or fulfill store requirements.
03
How the family group works
The personal balance of an Apple Account belongs to its owner. In a family group, other members cannot spend the organizer's balance directly.
Before topping up, check your Apple Account country: the gift card must match the account region where it will be activated.
Device language and actual location are not a substitute for checking your Apple Account country.
