What to check before purchasing a code
Open Canva and make sure you remember your login method and can regain access. Check which space your current projects are in and whether there is a paid plan in place. If the account belongs to an organization, clarify your permissions: the ability to edit the design does not necessarily mean the right to manage the subscription.
In the current Unlimit offer, the vendor specifies Canva Business for 12 months, code use within 7 days, and an eligible payment card for activation. These are code-specific terms and not Canva's universal rules. Read the current description in advance and check compatibility with your existing plan; the periods are not expected to add up automatically.

Why choosing a workspace is important
Imagine having personal designs and team space. The same email allows you to switch between them, but rights, projects and subscription status must be checked in the appropriate context. If, after activation, you see a proposal to upgrade your plan, first make sure you are looking at the right space.
Don't move all projects or create a new team just because the paid feature button is grayed out. First, find out where the plan is activated and what rights your profile has. When migrating content, please review participant access and content permissions separately.
| What we check | What does this mean? | Typical confusion |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Your login method and profile | Login via another email or authorization button |
| Space | Project and Collaboration Context | Personal area opened instead of command area |
| Plan | Paid Access Terms | Editor is working, but Business is not confirmed |
| Role | Specific user rights | Member is waiting to access payment management |

Canva Business activation step by step
Use the official-page link in the instructions. Do not enter the code in a search bar or publish it in comments: it is private order data. Interface labels may change, so follow the purpose of the screen: applying the code and confirming the plan’s conditions.
If a different due date, plan or amount appears on the screen, stop until confirmed. It is important to understand what is paid in the store and what further terms Canva offers. Do not add a card to a third-party form, which only copies the design of the service.
Save your order number and check the instructions you received.
Log into Canva as usual and check your profile.
Open canva.com/redeem and enter the code without any extra spaces.
Read the terms of use, check the plan and activation recipient.
Follow the steps provided, including the payment method if required by this offer.
After confirmation, check Business and term in the settings of the corresponding space.
Open a test design and test the feature you want without changing the working designs.
04
What to do if the code is rejected or Business does not appear
Write down the exact text of the message. “Code is invalid”, “offer not eligible” and “update rate” refer to different situations. Check the expiration date, completeness of the code, account, space and availability of another subscription. Do not draw a conclusion about a search error just based on the paid icon of one element in the design.
If the code is accepted but the plan is not visible, refresh the page and check the space again. If the code is not accepted, do not switch accounts and do not buy a second one. Save the original result and contact support for your order: this will make it easier to check compatibility and application.
| Situation | What to check first |
|---|---|
| Code not accepted | Exact text, expiration date, no extra characters |
| The offer is not suitable | Current plan, account and specific code conditions |
| Free is visible after activation | Account and workspace are correct |
| Individual function does not work | Is it included in the plan and are the necessary rights available? |

Set up your workspace after activation
Start with one project rather than a mass transfer of materials. Create a source folder, select base fonts and colors, and save a copy of the template. If you work with colleagues, check access to the test design and agree who changes the final version.
Before your first client project, test the entire route: creation, co-editing, exporting, and opening the result with the recipient. A subscription provides tools, but does not replace checking the layout, licenses and access rights. It's useful to save your next renewal date and understand where your subscription is managed while the settings are still fresh in your mind.
