Separate receiver error from delay
First open the receipt or completed order screen. If the payment is still being processed or the transaction is cancelled, the lack of Premium is not due to the account, but to the purchase status.
If the order is complete, compare username character to character. Similar Latin letters, an extra underscore and an old profile name can send a gift to the wrong user.

Check the account on the recipient's device
Telegram allows you to add multiple accounts in one application. The recipient can view the profile without Premium, although the gift is applied to another number or username.
Ask to open the settings, check the number and public name of the current account. Do not ask for a login code, QR authorization, or two-step verification password.

Update the official client
Telegram warns that individual clients may not support all Premium features at once. To check, use the current official version of Telegram for Android, iOS, Desktop or macOS.
Close the application completely, open it again and check the profile. If the icon appears but the specific feature is missing, the problem may be with the client version rather than the subscription.
Do not install a modified APK using a link from a chat in order to see Premium - this creates a risk of session theft.

What to prepare for support
Save the order number, date and time, amount, gift period, entered username and screenshot without secret data. This information allows you to match the payment and the recipient.
Formulate the problem in one sequence: when did you pay, what status is shown, what username is specified and what the recipient sees. Do not create a second order until the verification result.

How to avoid problems with your next gift
Before payment, open the recipient's profile from the personal dialogue and copy the username. If there is no name or it has recently changed, ask the recipient to send a link to their own profile via a secure channel.
Telegram describes built-in Premium gifts for 3, 6 or 12 months. In a third-party store, delivery times and methods must be checked in the product card before payment.
